I think he has Received the 3ds but pulling a fast one and saying he hasn't received it and want his money back

Halifax will do an invention to the alleged fraud (Can't tell you anything till it has been completed) That could take 2-3 weeks or longer

If Halifax told you can withdraw cash in branch I would do it to cover you until you get your account back.

You could try and prove that you send the 3ds etc but will be hard

Should have done cash on collection for this type of thing.

Sounds like he is trying to pull a fast 1.

Why cant you go into the branch and withdraw money ?

This is why more than 1 account should be used.

Why cant you go into the branch and withdraw money ? Agoraphobia. The OP does state such, and no there isn't a way around it.

This is why more than 1 account should be used.

See above in red. Worse thing that can happen to someone.

I don't see what option you have other than to refund the person and apply for compensation from royal mail (of you have proof of posting). You'll probably get a book of stamps.

Then learn the lesson, don't do it again.
  • I haven't scammed anyone!!
  • Yes I thought the same he's recieved it but is just saying he hasn't for a quick buck for Christmas I just don't know what to do as halifax insist I must go into branch to withdraw for now with agoraphobia (severe panic attacks) I cannot get into town centre

Does a bank really do this with no evidence and no police involvement?
  • They have & i can't understand why as I've not committed any wrong doing the buyer transferred the money to my account I can't see why I am the one in the wrong? Everytime I ring they say I must wait for the investigation to complete it's was only £45 fgs not hundreds I just don't know who to turn to for advice it's to late to get my child benefit payment changed as it goes in on monday
