One year I ordered a wok as a Christmas gift for my parents (my mum was just getting into Chinese cooking), and had it delivered to their house.

Two days later I received an excited phone call from my dad, asking what on earth i had bought them as a Securicor van had just turned up and delivered the parcel in brown wrapping with Securicor labels all over it.

That one kept them guessing for 10 days before they could open it on Christmas day !!

A little off topic, it can be fun to wrap things in misleading packaging for a bit of a wind up, last Christmas I put my sons new phone in an empty Maynards Wine Gum box (he doesn't even like wine gums).
For smaller more valuable items the pass the parcel wrapping method of multiple layers and boxes can extend the excitement.

This does sound like a bit of a "First World Problem" to me...

  • My OH, when getting presents.
Usually in bottle-shaped packages that make a glug noise when turned
    He always asks

    "is it a book?"
I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.

Happened last year when OH bought me some goodies from Lush, it arrived with Lush written all over the packaging and when only I was home. Now we get things delivered to relatives instead

To be fair, you could probably have smelt it coming.

This backfired spectacularly on my Mum who wrapped a delicate gift in a Oats So Simple box for her sister.
When she saw sister in January she thanked her for the porridge :p

She's spent almost a month thinking her only Sister had given her cereal for Christmas.
