Misselling of gig ticket .. refund required

I bought a gig ticket for my son. Was to collect on day of gig which was fine except when clicked onto buy and email receive advising about collection ... it was 15 miles away from gig location, in centre of Birmingham and a two hour window for collection.
I rang Viagogo who sold me the ticket, automated service only.
Emailed to post out but no response. Could not attend as ticket was unable to be collected ... live in east yorks and gig in Birmingham.
Set up complaint with bank but not allowing refund.
As over £112 I need to get advice if can get the monies refunded please in any other way please??
Am desperate to get this refunded as struggling with finances and was present for sons bday and had to replace it with something else.

I think their terms and conditions cover them.

They did not say where the ticket was to be picked up at until it was paid for. This is misselling surely as they put incorrect information on the ad. They had the ticket and I offered to pay postage .. next day delivery .. but ignored my request.

Can you be a bit clearer with the timeline of what happened when - just bullet points, dates and what you were informed. It's hard to tell from your message exactly what you were told and when you found things out.0

What did the advert specifically say about how you would get the tickets?

Does this site work a bit like Ebay - people selling their unwanted tickets to buyers and the site is merely hosting these sales?

Hi apologies for late response.
Bought ticket on 18.10.16 via internet. Company host sales of tickets for individuals apparently but didn't state that. Never used before.
Clicked buy and then gave me place to collect which was 15 miles away in centre of Birmingham from the arena. Only times to collect between 5 and 7pm on day of gig.
Ad just said collect on day of event which did not say not at site of event until had paid.
Tried ringing but auto service.
Got thro on day of event but too late.
Email correspondence but said can't post as too near event which was on 24th oct.
Advised I would pay next day delivery .. no response.
Tried to claim thro bank but not under their remit.
Travelling from east yorks to Birmingham with friend n father after work. Traffic be too busy to make gig at those times etc as central birmingham .. peak time plus massive gig.

Company advised me the place they were giving out tickets was nearest place they had to gig!! This was central Birmingham and arena was 15 miles away0

The fact you didn't know how the site worked isn't really relevant to your complaint.
A few other key questions:
1. What time was the gig
2. Can you expand on 'tried to claim though bank but not under their remit'?
3. Do you still have a copy of the advert?
4. What part of the ad was incorrect? Was it actually incorrect or was it just an omission of the information as to where and when to collect?
5. What arena was it, and what was the address (or just street) to collect the ticket from?0 -
If the only delivery option was 'collection' when you purchased the tickets, and details of the collection location were not provided until you had purchased the tickets, I'm not sure that you have a leg to stand on.
If this is the case, you assumed that the tickets would be available for collection from a more convenient location nearer to the venue, but that assumption does not appear to be based on anything other than your own supposition. A collection location in centre of the same city as the concert seems reasonable enough to me, even if it was not convenient for you. Annoying that they didn't respond to your emails in time about your offer to pay for expedited postal delivery, but given that your contract was to purchase tickets and collect them on the day of the concert, there is no legal obligation on them to have provided you with this alternative.
The onus was on you to obtain detailed information about ticket collection if it had any bearing on your decision to purchase the tickets.0
