We have been very accommodating and have chased up all parties through our estate agent whenever CC have spoken to us about the chain and our estate agent as bee in constant contact with CC advising them early on the chain situation and any delays.
I think it would be very off for them to pull the plug but you never know with these people. We have been transparent from the start0

You're missing the point. The OP has no control over the matter.
It sounds like CC are being a right pain in the arris. That wouldn't endear me to kissing theirs.
If they want to pull the plug they will do regardless.
I'm not missing the point, you are.
a VERY large part of business deals (which this is) is not the facts its how you deal with them, and the people.
They will not "pull the deal regardless", they are people, they will help, and bend the rules, for people they like, they will use the rules against those they don't.
Whether the OP is endeared to them or not, they have something the OP wants, and sometimes you have to play along to get what you want.0

AFAIK these businesses are always pushy and they'll want to avoid delay to avoid anything going south.
Be patient and polite with them and keep giving them the same reply every time they harass you - there's is nothing you can do at the moment, nothing is going to change until the new year, you are looking forward to exchanging then, thanks, bye.0
