My 14 year old daughter loves the make up collection linked to above, she particularly asked for this Fortune Favours the Brave set for Christmas:

I would suggest Superdrug vouchers would be a great present, she can then spend as many hours as she likes deciding which bits to add to her collection.0 -

I am looking for ideas for my 14yo girl.I have been thinking along the lines of make-up/beauty stuff, but ,since I don't wear make-up myself,I really don't know what I am doing .
Some thoughts I had,(but any others, please let me know.Browsing around Boots the other day, there are make-up products around I never knew existed,so really ,any ideas are aprreciated.)
-a nice pallette of eye shadow (please suggest your favourite brands)
-make-up set (again,what sort?
-she has a pair of hair tongs, but the other day,in Boots,I saw a JML "Simply Straight heated ceramic brush".Is this type of thing any good?
-she doesn't seem to have too many make-up brushes/sponges.What am I looking for in these?
As you can see.I really have no idea.
Really, any suggestions would be most appreciated.
Thank you.
my 15-year old daughter (and 16-year old niece) go mad for Real Techniques make-up brushes, they are often on good discount offers through Groupon, or Superdrug etc. Last xmas my daughter asked for the Zoeva eye pallette, (she already had an Urban Decay naked 2 pallette as her staple from her birthday money earlier that year too). This year niece has asked for Anastasia of Beverley Hills eye pallette and moonchild highlighter pallette (which my daughter wishes she'd asked for as well now).
I do agree with peachyprice about getting some skincare pressies for her too, last xmas my daughter's pressies from Santa were just about all skincare, including Boots No 7 Soft & Smooth gentle cleanser, which has gone down very well and really suits her young skin. She's moved from cleansing wipes to micellar water cleansers too. Her favourite toner is a Lush one.
Does your daughter do lip balms? There are some lovely Burts Bees ones, and Balmi (you can buy them in Superdrug) are very cool, as well as EoS (Boots had them on offer at 1/3rd off when we were instore last weekend).0 -

I bought my daughter a really cute Burts Bee's thingy in Waitrose today, it's a little beehive shaped glass jar with some lip balm sticks and pot and had balm. Very cute stocking filler.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
Hope this helps. My daughter is 13, she likes all the superdrug make up. As a treat last month she got a mac lipstick, at £15.00 yes its expensive but a luxury/treat item, she got velvet teddy. Popular at her school.
The Tanya burr at superdrug is on offer so worth a look they had a chest with a few bit of make up reduced to £20, looked really nice, I would have bought my dd, but she has had her budget for christmas. Along with other bits of her make up reduced.
As balletshoes said, real technique brushes are a hit to, look for offers on amazon.0 -
This looks to be a good buy http://www.boots.com/en/Sleek-Make-Up-Box-of-Tricks-Ultimate-Makeup-Haul_1939412/Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

oh,thank you for all the wonderful suggestions everyone.
I have written out my list of lots of things mentioned in the thread, and will hopefully be going out shopping tomorrow (though does depend what time Amazon deliveries arrive).
I think a selection of Real Techniques brushes, some blenders, and a nice pallete would be much appreciated.
Off to google the Burt's Bee beehive-shaped jar.Might get one of those too if I can.
