Plusnet Sim Only - Customer Service

Saw the deal on MSE for unlimited minutes and texts and 4gb data and immediately signed up. Ported my number and now I am without my main number for 3 working days.
The number has been disconnected and plusnet are sitting on it, in the backlog to process ports (I am told by them).

I used to have Plusnet broadband and calls and I cancelled after a year because I found a better deal with BT and because of Plusnet's poor customer service. I feel like this is already a very bad start because the timing couldn't be worse with the house move and nobody being able to get in touch

So, as plustnet are piggybacking on EE, definitely recommend if a good deal (but Virgin are now offering £12 for unlimited minutes too?) but definitely bear in mind absolute rubbish customer service from plusnet and delays with number porting (so far!).

Their price list has a number of errors. Pointing those errors and inconsistencies out to their customer services people has revealed that they are extremely confused about what it is they are offering.

    Best of luck working out:
    - whether 0500 calls are free or whether they are 20p per minute
    - whether 03 calls are completely free or are inclusive in allowances
    - if 0300 calls are free and 0345 calls are charged
    - if text messages to landline numbers are inclusive in allowances or not
    - which prefixes are classed as 'mobiles'
    - which prefixes are classed as being allocated in CI or IoM.

0500 numbers should be free as they're the same as 0800
03 numbers are the same as 01 and 02 landline rates
    0300/0345 as above
Text messages to landlines should be the same as mobile texts
There are quite a few prefixes for CI/IoM, you can view here, https://www.area-codes.org.uk/mobile
Most networks class them as International numbers

  • I just came on here to look for a thread about being transfered from LIFE mobile to Plusnet, and how pants the Plusnet service is.

The network works more or less the same (I think) but Plusnet have stopped the mobile account query service - where you can dial a number to find out what you have left on your account. I tried calling CS, but without my bank card they couldn't give me any information.

I tried to log into to my online account... and got locked out.

As far as I'm concerned, I'm happy so far. 'Cos my LIFE mobile account was a rolling 30 day one so I can stop with Plusnet any time the service get so carp I can't take it anymore.

    Right about...
The atmosphere is currently filled with hypocrisy so thick that it could be sliced, wrapped, and sold in supermarkets for a decent price and labeled, 'Wholegrain Left-Wing, Middle-Class, Politically-Correct Organic Hypocrisy'.
