British Gas free electric tariff

I am on the BG free electric tariff and have just got my bill. I was wondering if any others find the bill hard to check against?
I have taken readings every Saturday at the beginning and end of the free time as I thought I would be able to check against the bill but no. There is nowhere to check on the my energy portal either as this is in £''s and pence not units so how do I know I'm not bein robbed?
If anyone can show me how I can check it by the unit I would be very grateful.
Thanks

No idea - but I would suggest that your time would be better spent switching to a fixed tariff. The savings will far outweigh anything that you can achieve with 8 hours of free electricity. Remember, the remaining 160 hours per week are on BG's most expensive tariff.
It is also worth looking at BG's ts and cs which makes it clear that any attempt to exploit the 8 free hours will result in the freebie being taken away. Clearly, BG is watching how much you use in those 8 hours. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

I wonder just how much is 'too much' - we use 35kw during those 8 hours. At present we use another 48kw during the rest of the week. What are other people saving?0
