printing boarding cards

Yes I know you can use phones, but I want to print some Easyjet boarding cards, however I do not wish to waste paper and ink by printing all the adverts etc. they give you with it, especially as one of them has a solid black background!

Using MacOS Sierra with the "Mail" application and an HP printer (which I have deleted and added back to, hopefully, ensure driver up to date).

I have taken "Snapshots" in the PDF and pasted into an email, looks fine ..... but in print preview the right-hand edge is missing, can't see a way to update margins so change to landscape but the missing area of the boarding card remains the same. Printing confirms what is in print preview.

This could be a printer issue, but because I see it in print preview it is probably an issue with Apple "Mail", anyone know how to get around it?

Oh I did try Word first but the images get resized and I wouldn't be sure Easyjet would accept those.

Any advice appreciated!

You need to use the select thing in ur PDF software.
Then save what you've selected as a PDF.
Then join two of the selected pdfs together, save, then print on one A4 piece of paper. Then cut in to two.

Then make a cuppa T and have a mince pie to recover from the kerfuffle.

I never waste paper and ink printing Boarding Passes. I always check-in online as soon as the online check-in opens, and pick up the Boarding Pass at the airport.

Last time with Easy Jet was in February and no problem. Passports were all we needed.

I open the boarding pass in preview, crop to the bit I need and paste it onto NeoOffice, then I can easily alter the size to be printed.

Never [I've never flown Ryan Air].

The only time I did print our Boarding Passes I'd only just changed my printer cartridge, and the print was too strong/thick for the bar code to be read at the airport, and I was given new passes.

Since then all I've had to produce is my passport, ditto at foreign airports. And that's at a lot of airports.

I do print and take a copy of our booking schedule, but have never been asked to produce it other than for proof of onward travel [usually arriving at a visa exempt destination].

So how much time and how much electricity have you wasted by trying to avoid wasting a bit of black ink by now?

Where do you get the boarding pass? Do you have to queue at the check-in having already checked in, or do you have bags to drop anyway?

    Check-in desk.

Some airlines have a separate queue for online/mobile check-in.
Bag drop facilities aren't always open.

We always aim to get to an airport 3 hours before our flight, and if the flight is before c1300 we stay overnight at Premier Inn/Travelodge.

Rarely have to join much of a queue, and in any case hanging around for a flight is the norm, so if part of that pleasure means a few minutes in a queue then so be it.

What I won't do is waste printer ink/paper when all I need to show is my passport.

I think that would be a false economy in my case, if I arrived 3 hours before a flight I'd be spending far far more than the cost of paper & ink in coffees/beers at the overpriced airport bars ;)

Don't think I've ever arrived 3 hours before a flight - sometimes the check-in isn't even open, once I arrived a bit over 2 hours before and had to wait to check-in. If I'm travelling with hand luggage only I tend to aim to arrive an hour to 90 mins before, depending on the journey length and likleyhood of delays. With a printed boarding pass can go straight to security.

Pre-flight on the 'pop' used to have an appeal, but not now. Plenty of time for that the other end. Don't think I've ever wasted money on overpriced coffee. Adam's Ale out of a fountain is fine.

Most airlines that have several flights a day [to wherever] will have their check-in desks open all the time.

Have you never missed a flight by being delayed on the road or a train? How do judge whether there'll be a delay or not, I haven't seen a website that can forecast a pile-up on the motorway, or some poor unfortunate who decides to jump in front of a train? If it hasn't happened or you've had a close call, then next time could be the one.;)
