Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) what is it with December, last year my son died this year his father is in hospital with gangrene in his foot, he is diabetic. OH has an appointment at the same hospital tomorrow so will do a quick nip in to see him.
Off to the shops in melton OH needs a haircut, I want to get a large bottle of sherry, need some fresh fruit and veg and I have to get a new phone. I kept hoping I would find the old one, but no such luck. Then T***o to fill the car up ready for the rest of the month and hopefully into January. Oh my goodness another year almost gone.
Hope you soon feel better Jackie.
TA hope all goes well with the surgery.0 -
Morning chums,
Dark blue and gloomy over Glasgow this morning. Doesn't look promising.
I had a day off yesterday hence why I wasn't able to pop on here. Didn't do too much. In fact, I done very little. Just what the doctor ordered.
Short lived as always and back to it today. Hoping for a busy day in work actually so it goes in quickly so I'm just about to get my 2nd coffee of the morning and rattle through as much as possible,
I've been to the gym this morning so I've not much planned tonight, probably FIFA with my mates, which reminds me I need to text them.
Jackie - get well soon
redruby - deary me, just goes to show you can't be too careful.
csarina - I hope your December improves. Sending you hugs0 -
TA, best wishes for Mr TA's surgery and your results. Hugs Coxy. Good luck with the walk Tru. Hope you feel better soon Jackie. Take it easy Hester. I feel like Paul Simon except I can't get your names to rhyme!
Mr snoozer feels much better without a foot long tube inside him. Hopefully he'll soon be able to go back to work in the office for the first time since 10th September.
DD is feeling very stressed as the plumber who was supposed to be fitting the new radiators in their house didn't turn up. The magazine she works for is on deadline for Friday and they are supposed to be flying to India a week today. They do like to put themselves through the mill.
I wrote the cards yesterday, I just want to write a couple of letters and then they can be posted. I also finished the two cushions I was making as presents - thee zip in one was horrendous to fit of course.
I shall start the wrapping today.0 -

Hi all
Thinking of all who have lost a family member or have sick loved ones or are poorly themselves. There is a lot of bugs about at the moment.
LW the reason given for refusing OH's hernia repair was lack of funding. If the appeal fails then we will have to pay as it is affecting his quality of life at the moment and he is still being stubborn but has admitted it is getting worse.
Bit grey here but I am looking towards the solstice and the return of he light. I may well have a little celebration.
Caterina safe journey.
Jackie O keep warm and feel better soon.
Hugs to all

Sorry to hear this, condolences to the family. His suffering is over at last.
Just had an email from my mum about an old friend of hers who died aged 96. He died at the start of Dec but no-one knew until yesterday. That's a good age to have reached.
Anyway, the tree has been cut down enough to sit in a vase :rotfl: It's on the window ledge with the flat side against the side of the window. It's been dressed with as much I feel is enough to show willing. I've now got the cut off branches for decoration - and no idea what to do with them. I keep telling myself 'it will soon be over'. I gave my kind neighbour a bag of proper holly with berries on so his wife will be delighted.
I've cooked beef mince up and now got more liver and bacon in the oven. Done a washing load and happened to be in the utility room during the final rinse and so heard water pouring out it. I thought the room smelt a bit damp last week. As the programme only had 10 mins to go there wasn't much point in stopping it. Plumber neighbour is on his way back from town and will come in on the way to sort it.
Now I'm trying to negotiate my way through a new online system to internally verify some assessments for uni - baffled is what I am! Three emails, two cups of tea and a lot of head scratching isn't really helping. I need to have another go at finding the assessment decision.
Perhaps I'll light the fire first. The first rule of procrastination, find something more interesting to do!0 -
