Nationwide refer a friend - Active direct debit definition?

I'm refering a friend for nationwide refer a friend scheme. They are using a new account and thus previously had no direct debits. They have put two direct debits onto their account, one is a home phone bill and the other is a mobile phone bill.
Both of the direct debits now show up on internet banking under 'direct debits' though no payments has been made as of yet.
If my friend initiates the switch now will we receive the refer a friend bonus. Obviously no payments are taken on those DD's yet but they are still showing up as direct debits on internet banking.

Others have reported issues with DDs that haven't been taken yet not being transferred properly, though not necessarily with Nationwide RAF.
But why the rush? The incentive offer is valid for 90 days following recommendation, so may as well let them take first and be sure.0 -
My friend has already put through the account switch request. Could he call nationwide and ask them to delay it?0

Put it through a few days ago. No, no date confirmed yet.
Annoying for some reason the mobile phone company didn't charge the new direct debit, instead they wiped it from his phone account. He had to pay by debit card to reactive it and has now set up the direct debit for a second time - this means the next DD payment won't be taken for another 30 days.0 -
I'd probably stop it if I could. But it's not the end of the world if it doesn't pay out. Just do another referral later with another account.
Confirmation comes via email IIRC. Have they checked?0 -
I noticed nationwide doesn't actually ask for active direct debits, it says this
"A minimum of two Direct Debits must be transferred as part of their switch."
So, even though the direct debits have not gone through one billing cycle yet, the fact is that they are present on the account and will be transfered in the switch. So it should be ok?0
