I don't see how another election will change anything. I would presume that voters will do the same robotic brainless thing and we'll be no further forward.
NI politicians get away with this because the herd have no ability to think for themselves. May as well let the cows in the field vote.0 -
It's the sectarianized system (as indicated by eamon McCann), which rewards tribal voting patterns.
A need for a large majority such as 80% in any decisions would cancel out the need to have a majority in both groupings, as is required now, and would also prevent decisions based on affiliation.
Cyprus and Lebanon had similar systems to ours, look how well they turned out. (Not well)“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -

They chose her. They can't be that misogynistic.
There's a tradition of this. Anna lo reckoned the place was full of racists - shortly after thousands of people had elected her. So not terribly racist then, Anna?“What means that trump?” Timon of Athens by William Shakespeare0 -
Worth a read, doubt if she'll be there by 16th. http://eamonnmallie.com/2017/01/politics-in-the-trenches-adams-speech-not-a-hint-more-an-ultimatum-writes-brian-rowan/0

I have no love for Marty, or Sinn Fein, but Martty is bang on here
He said people were "rightly outraged at the squandering of public money", and the DUP was refusing to accept demands for "robust action and accountability".
"The refusal of Arlene Foster to recognise the public anger or to exhibit any humility in the context of the RHI scandal is indicative of a deep-seated arrogance, which is inflicting enormous damage on the executive, the assembly and the entire body politic0 -
We can only hope that the electorate waken up to reality and dump the corrupt lying bigoted stuck in the past DUP. It pains me to say it from my background, but I think Sinn Fein would do a better job of running the country. A pity Mike Nesbitt is so weak - Alliance - not sure! SDLP - ditto.0
