    Morning all!

I have finally reached my target! I am super happy that I have achieved this and this money will be going on to pay off some debts that I have. This will make 2018 start a lot easier I tell you!

I will finish 2017 for now with £513.53 and will start getting ready for the 2018 challenge!

Thank you everyone, and for those who keep the spreadsheets etc up to date...you are amazing!

    Well done Chappie,

I will set up challenge 2018 in late December/January so look forward to seeing you there.

As for the spreadsheet updates, thats all my handy work, I I'm accept your compliment and glad that I have made you happy. Its easier towards the end as people drop off and only the hardcore ones are left...

It usually takes a while for me to find you when you start a new thread but certainly count me in. This thread has helped me so much this year :)

If anyone is interested in joining me next year for the same challenge i did this year please let me know and i'll explain my rules. If you do it properly you will have £1,378 by the end of the year.

Still takes me a while haha!

What is the reverse £1 challenge?

I write numbers 1 to 52 on slips of paper. Each week I pick one out and transfer that amount to my VSP account.

so similar, reverse £1 challenge is where on week1 of the year you save £52, then £51 week 2 etc and by week 52 you save £1, this adds up to the same amount you have.

I find reverse is better as you dont have to find £52 in that final week of the year after christmas, and easier to find in week 1 in January.

I use this version to save into my Sealed Pot, and then I bank at end of the year.

Hardcore reporter me, shame I've failed my target again! But I do put all spare notes/cheques into a Regular Saver that I have a card for.

Look forward to joining again for 2018, third time lucky perhaps?

    Hi Westieners,

    How are we all doing?

Im up at stupid o'clock as my legs are giving me horrific pains from my nerve damage.

I was on my feet for a long time yesterday evening, as my Brownie unit had a 50th Birthday party, so I was director, for our play.

We still have time for those that are still a little way of target.

I will continue till December as I do, but I will probably start VSP 2018, in that middle bit between Christmas and new year when there is nothing to do.

I will keep you posted when I have started it, as I need to save and clear the spreadsheet.

Keep going for those that need a little boot in the bum :-)

Updated your totals Seaotter I had one figure for September and an additional amount to be added to August is that correct?

Please have a look at the spreadsheet to see if it is correct,

Any more updates for September? before I start getting October declarations coming in.

    Westie983

Sorry I've only just spotted this! I don't often log on the forum, but I do round down my bank balance each week, and it's so neat and tidy, plus saving money too!

I've just submitted forms so hopefully all is up to date now.

    Thanks Westie!
