    Consider power washing driveways, paths etc, agree gutters a good idea, as well as text and yearly contract service (some may wish to get experience first before signing up!). The elderly might also appreciate a contact service during the winter months. Greenhouse cleaning/sterilisation might be handy? Any odd job men are often in short supply so when he becomes trusted there might be options on that front too.

    Make sure he has indemnity insurance and advertise the fact. Get flyers/cards made (Vistaprint good for that or local print shop)
