As soon as I saw your thread title, I knew the answer was 'yes', because it was either going to be:
'They're saying the vendor/buyer wants to pull out if we do/don't do X or Y'
'They're saying there's a cash buyer potentially and I'd better hurry up/increase my offer'
or
'You have to use our broker/conveyancer'0 -

Seriously, brokers and solicitors that get clients handed yo them on a plate by the EA are not likely to be as good as those who rely on recommendations and repeat business.
Choose your own based on recommendations, if the vendor wants to know you are a reliable buyer, your solicitor can assure them you have the funds and the mortgage offer to proceed. No need to show your hand to the in-house broker.0
