  • How does it offer it then - does it specifically state that it can be done through Internet banking?
Does it specifically state it can be done over the telephone?

You are being pedantic because you cannot have your own way.
I bet you would be the first to jump down their throats if fraudsters had managed to defraud you of your money.

  • They agreeded to pay me £200 today.

So how you going to get the other £98800?:D

I don't mind in the least, being pedantic, if you say so;)
  • Didn't live in *NORTHERN Ireland* at the time and it's in the U.K and TSB is a U.K bank so what's your point?

Lloyds are a UK bank that have no presence in Scotland or Northern Ireland.

Given the sum of money involved I don't think it's unreasonable that they've insisted you come in to the branch to transfer the money in person.

Ginger this thread is going off course now - OP is a customer of TSB nothing to do with Lloyds banking which includes BOS.
  • My point is that it's not uncommon for banks to not have a high street presence in certain parts of the country.

It's been three days since you started this thread so by tommorow that £25k you have been transferring a day to another bank will total the £100k. You have also got £200 from TSB for your complaint so even after the CHAPS fee from the other bank your quids in!.

They won't do CHAPS as he cannot get to a branch.

Well before he started transferring the money I assume he would have checked that they would do CHAPS without visiting the bank or transferred it to a bank that he has a branch local to him.
