Minor correction for the spreadsheet too, my target is £10k this year not £12k£40k-in-’23#18 £78,628.29/40,000 (196.57%)0 -
Miss Pinky here checking in with lots of activity!
Jan - £500 overpayment made
Feb - £500 overpayment made. This was the month that I also start my new product which means I can pay over 10% per year. Now, what I didn't realise is that this means I pay 10% of the 'opening balance' that they gave me initially. So..... they gave me £80,723 in 2015 so I can overpay £8072, this is despite me only owing them £67,588.
My mortgage payment are also dropping from £409 to £385 so I have applied to see if I can reduce the term to 15 years which will bring my payments back up to £440 (approx) so just waiting to hear if that goes through.
So, this means I have a new target between now and Dec to pay £6054 which is £672 per month.
So to cut through all this information....

Feb £500
