if you have loaded the software that comes with the printer. you will have a hp printer and scan doctor application in the utilities section of the software. just run that and it should sort any problems.

Thank you, it is now working. Basically it appears I didn't check connect wifi printer, when I installed originally. Going through installation again and reading slowly, noticed it.

The HP Printer website (HPconnected.com) has an Instant Ink section where you can review your Instant Ink account and control settings.

In particular, it tells you when Ink is ready for despatch and even provides tracking info. My ink came from Holland, and the tracking was provided by PostNL. It took about 10 days from despatch to arrival, and the package did not fit through the letterbox (though my printer takes 4 cartridges, so I would not necessarily expect it to).

My cartridges arrived a few weeks after I purchased the printer, but I haven't needed to use them yet, as I didn't do much printing over Christmas. When I finally start paying for Instant Ink (in July) it looks like it'll be the £1.99 package for me.

Does anyone have any experience of rollover pages, changing subscription levels etc. i.e. how to game the system so that you're getting the best VFM from it?

I am currently on the first five months free then it will be £1.99. apparently this equates to about 50 pages per month. Far more than I've used in the past, but then again, I was always apprehensive of using/wasting in case needless printing might deprive me if I wanted something urgently.

To ensure I get my 50 pages worth, I've told myself that I will print a lot of photo's each month, whether or not that proves to be ideal, remains to be seen.

In view of the fact that we are both newbies regarding ink usage, maybe we should both try to stay in touch to monitor our experiences?.

    Okay.

My slight concern about HPII (HP Instant Ink) is that like a lot of people print I am printing sporadically - you'll be working on one thing one month that involves printing, and then not much for the next few months.

My usage is also complicated by the fact my printer uses 4 cartridges that are c. £8 each, but last for 300 pages. So... 10.6p per page, compared to 4p with the £1.99 package. I still think it looks like a no-brainer, but I see my new cartridges gathering dust on the shelf and I wonder.

All complicated further by the fact that some of my prints are partial pages of labels - which use less ink than a whole page, but get charged the same.

Will I've your post thought, but I am currently feeling slightly unwell, but, they won't send you your monthly quota of ink, until somehow it registers low. The word roll-over s at the back of my mind, I must think about it. Also, are you aware you can stop or change your subscription at any time?.
