in Credit cards
For Instance If you needed to Sue you Credit card company would you know who to sue ?
Halifax Credit card is Issued by the Bank of Scotland, but Lloyds banking group PLC is the parent.
Now Bank of Scotland is issued out Scotland so would you sue in Scotland but as it issues in England is also governed by English Law.
Do you sue Halifax Limited (PLC ?) as it is a Division , Bank of Scotland, or Lloyds Banking Group PLC who deal with Credit card issues across the different Brands and deal with section 75 and fraud claims
So it would be Lloyds Banking Group PLC
the same for
MBNA and Barclaycard or Natwest (RBS ?) ?

Better to exhaust their complaints system first, then maybe go to an ombudsman0

As other post said I would try complaints and then ombudsman. Just out of interest why do you feel the need to sue your credit card company anyway? Or is there another reason you ask?Happiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0

You sue the person with whom you have the contract with.Any posts by myself are my opinion ONLY. They should never be taken as correct or factual without confirmation from a legal professional. All information is given without prejudice or liability.0

I did just that - and took the wrong entity to court for the retailer, meaning that enforcing judgement against the credit card company (Nationwide) could have ended up as the only way for me to get my money.
Fortunately the retailer settled before it got to that point.0 -
The credit card is issued by the bank of Scotland in the terms and conditions though it states it is governed by English Law.0

You could use their registered office in Edinburgh or your local Halifax branch.
Halifax doesn't exist anymore - it's just a division/brand.
Lloyds Banking Group is registered at the same place - in Edinburgh. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
It will state in the T&C who you have gone in to contract with.SIGNATURE REMOVED BY FORUM TEAM0
