Personally I think the same. The media is reporting that housing has reached it's peak, and the stats are showing that the 'year-on'year' price increases have reduced dramatically over recent months, which means prices must have begun to fall. Friends and people at work who I've spoken to recently are also of the opinion that prices are heading south and there's some level of acceptance that it was always going to happen anyway.
Kind of what I`m hearing, there is some (subconscious?) resistance to Section 24 though, people with BTL still not sure how it affects them.0 -
I tend to take zoopla valuations with a pinch of salt, but I've been watching the market trends for 3 local postcodes (HU17, HU16, HU13) and the 6 month trend has been reducing each month (from about +5% in December 2016, to -4.5% in April 2017). The 12 monthly and 3 monthly figures always seem to remain within +/-1%, so I guess maybe the 6 monthly figure is showing the seasonal swing (e.g. Winter/Summer and Spring/Autumn). I'm noticing a lot of reductions and a lot of BTL in these areas (have a look for yourself) so if anything the trend in June/July will confirm a price drop if the 12/3 monthly figures fall.0

Erm, no thanks EA. I'll offer what I like and what I believe the property's value to be! Honestly, EAs are a menace for coming up with these ridiculous ploys.

It's probably being marketed at roughly 10% less than other similar types of houses in that condition. However, who knows what offer they'd actually accept of course. Agents sometimes pop a house up cheap to get loads of interest.0

2-3 months ago, My wife liked a house, the asking price was 530k, my first offer was 500, second offer 520, third offer 530, Although I offered the asking price, Greedy vendor or EA had asked more, then literally I told them "go to hell". Very happy not buying that house...0
