Looks like I've missed a cracking thread here. Shouldn't we be talking about how the world's going to end tomorrow because house prices will fall through the floor or how we're all going to be rich as Creasus(sp?) by selling our garden sheds?

Caught the 'dead cat bounce'. Traders covering short positions to take profits.
If you look up companies that are really in the brown stuff they'll drop so far and then the share price will rally. That's people that have sold shares they don't own buying them back so they end up flat, hopefully with a profit.
Deutsche timed it all wrong apparently.
Big Bank didn't when I checked earlier. They've done pretty well.
