if it's W10 it's probably the same issue as is affecting many users, where a Windows update has thrown out the wifi drivers... find and download the latest for your machine onto one of your other computers, and use a USB stick to transfer it over to the problem one.......Gettin' There, Wherever There is......
I have a dodgy "i" key, so ignore spelling errors due to "i" issues, ...I blame Apple

Thank you for your reply, it is now working again - after using diagnostics it said something about computer not having valid IP address - I used system restore but after a long long time it said it had not restored but it called connect to the internet.0 -
while you have a connection, go to the device manager and search for an updated driver

Haven't used Windows in some time but having a quick look at Google Images it falls under the Network Adapters tree.
You might have to expand it, right click the sub-menu and Update Driver Software...It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -
Inside "Network adapters" and look for one with WIFI or wireless in the name
For example mine is "Dell wireless 1560 802.11ac"0 -

On expanding this there are lots - nothing says just driver software - which one?0 -
This happened with me yesterday. The ethernet connection and the wifi did not work on my laptop. The W10 was an upgrade and not bought already installed. Also the wifi on my phone was working.
So the Plusnet tech support guy got me to delete the wifi adapter and then restart the machine. Apparently the restart reinstalled the wifi network adapter.
This got both the ethernet connection and the wifi connection to work again. I only had to reenter my network security key for the wifi.0 -
We have been blaming everything on the new hub that our isp persuaded us was better. (The old one worked much better actually).
Soon after we installed the new hub the old laptop (which has connected fine for years) would not connect wirelessly. The laptop would also suddenly not connect wirelessly to the printer that we have had for a few years. Still not sure that one works, as just use the new W10 desktop for printing, having given up.
Then it was the turn of the android mobile phone to not connect to the internet via the hub & was having to resort to using mobile data. Seems fine now though (whispering).
Now the new W10 desktop (connected to hub by a wire) has stopped connecting to the internet.
Really pleased people are on here with solutions: am going to try again later and report back . . .
would've . . . could've . . . should've . . .

If your Windows 10 machine won't connect to the internet today - RESTART it.
That is <Start Menu> <Power> <Restart>
Turning off and back on again will not work. Had several people call today with this and restarting has got them back online again!0
