If AA are like the RAC they will supply and fit but it will be expensive!If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales0

Yes. I did just last that last week. Car wouldn't start and battery was obviously dead (wouldn't hold charge when I charged it). Bought a battery, got it home in my other car, found that I hadn't got the magic long extension to loosen the retaining bolt. Called the AA (as my car was dead, right?) and they turned up, I told them I had a battery, and they fitted it and were on their way. It was clearly a perfectly legitimate operation as the form I filled in was "fitted customer-supplied new battery".0
