Goodwill Adjustment Success?

Has anyone had any success requesting a goodwill adjustment to remove information (late payments) from credit provider on credit file(s)?

Or does anyone have any advice on how to best approach requesting a goodwill adjustment on credit file?

Many thanks.

whilst a lender may refund late payment charges out of goodwill the info they provide to the CRAs must be accurate. If you paid late then that is a fact and should be reflected on your credit reprot

They can still remove it. There is not much control over what a lender places on the CRAs' files, and the CRAs themselves don't apply any QA, so just about anything goes. While lenders might get their wrists slapped - ever so lightly - for filing erroneous or malicious information against you, they are under no obligation to actually report anything, apart from concerning the closed group agreement with the CRAs, which operates at the account level anyway.
