    Yes, the 100% SOC plan sounds like the best solution.

    You may find that you are one red and one black interlink cable short.  Two of your son's three batteries will be inked together but the final one will have the long leads going to the inverter. You will need an interlink cable to put in its place to connect to your batteries.
    I had this problem when I got a secondhand set of batteries.  I solved the problem by using two Henley blocks to connect the two sets of output leads together.

    Access your system via the web page not app and there is an option near the bottom on the Maintenance tab - Battery Calibration Enable. Hopefully this will sort balancing the batteries for you.

    If anyome wants to dip their toe into the world of battery storage, this isn't a bad price for an integrated 3kW AC-coupled inverter and ~3kWh battery:

    In principle it's compatible with Intelligent Flux but I don't know if self-installation would affect that.

    I don't think I have a use for one, sadly - my old Sofar and 16kWh Fogstar is plenty 😄
