I'd have had them both at that price.QrizB said:

Yeah that's a pretty good deal for new Pylontechs.Starfrog said:
I purchased my ones direct from this company and they arrive tomorrow. I think its a good price for brand new one inclusive of Vat at £765 for a 2.4kWh US2000C (I bought 5 of them and they give you a £15 discount per battery on orders over 4 batteries so the saving made my shipping cost only around £19 for all of them.EVandPV said:Just scored a one year old 2.4kwh Pylontech for £715 delivered on fleabay.
Still one left of anyone's interested.

I 2nd this. You missed a group purchase a couple of months back (See my earlier posts) where I got a stack of batteries to make use of a per battery discount for an order over 4 batteries, plus savings on shipping.Starfrog said:

out of interest how much power should i expect that the batteries will supply to my home power consumption if I have 5 of them ? you have 3 so im thinking it will be at least that ?chamelion said:

ah my signature is out of date. I'm up to 3 x 2.4kw and 2 x 3.5kw batteries now. I have a high energy use home and I consume every bit of solar in house usage alone for 90%+ of the year... I load up my battery bank with cheap power overnight on intelligent octopus, which basically runs my entire home from 5:30am to about midday (currently - this will extend significantly as we move to summer and i generate more on PV) before hitting my minimum SOC on the battery. I then switch over to the 'expensive' day rate until the next slot i'm granted.Starfrog said:

Not sure what your microonverters do, I still learning too. But my understanding is that your inverter will only pump out 3.6Kw at a time. As your batteries are DC then this will be converted by the inverter to AC at max of 3.6 but I am not sure .
mine is a hybrid Lux so I don’t know if that makes a difference in that it does it all in the one unit5KW solar, Lux 3.8KW inverter, Uhome 2400 LPF x 6, SOLIC 200 immerser diverter, Leaf 62Kwh, Skoda Enyaq 85, Ohme home charger, Zappi v2.1, Eddi, Import: Octopus intelligent ; Export: Octopus Energy Export, 15KW biomass pellet boiler - Windhager., Home Assistant0 -
The max output is 3.6kw from one Lux ac controller with 3 or more Pylontechs (1.2kw output per 2.4kwh Pylontech module).Starfrog said:

You would need 2 parallel Lux controllers to increase to a max of 7.2kw with 6 Pylontechs.Scott in Fife, 2.9kwp pv SSW facing, 2.7kw Fronius inverter installed Jan 2012 - 14.3kwh Seplos Mason battery storage with Lux ac controller - Renault Zoe 40kwh, Corsa-e 50kwh, Zappi EV charger and Octopus Go0 -
The enphase microinverters give me a per panel performance that isnt affected by partial shading like a string inverter would be as on a string you lose power to one panel (reduced by 50%) then the entire array is reduced by 50%. I got them as they are not giving me a single point of failure and the research showed me that they seem to have a longer life time.newbuilder said:Not sure what your microonverters do, I still learning too. I looked at the same solar system but by a different name. When they came to fit the they failed!!
the only bonus of more batteries with the Lux is that they last longer not that they can be pulled on more5KW solar, Lux 3.8KW inverter, Uhome 2400 LPF x 6, SOLIC 200 immerser diverter, Leaf 62Kwh, Skoda Enyaq 85, Ohme home charger, Zappi v2.1, Eddi, Import: Octopus intelligent ; Export: Octopus Energy Export, 15KW biomass pellet boiler - Windhager., Home Assistant0
