Asda credit card application

  • So you now have a credit search done on a card you would have liked but now rejected it??

OK, that's one hard credit search and doubt you will get that lifted. Have you ever thought by getting you to send in proof of address they are confirming you live there and it's you applying and not a fraudster applying online with your details and intercepting your post??

something isn't right, hence the request. I find them one of the easiest lenders to get cards from, I have a £5k asda one, which I applied as thought may use
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

I have several creation cards I find them very generous. They haven't ever asked me for ID but I would have given it if they asked. Don't see why it's an issue, it's their money so if they want extra checks so be it.
  • Outstanding. I do enjoy a "strongly worded letter/email" thread.

    That'll teach 'em :D

Yes, I bet they are, like many other out-of-control financial organisations who can shaft you big time on the slightest suspicion, or not even that. In a modern society CIFAS is an outrage, or at least the way it's used is an outrage.

If the OP's address is already held by three - yes three! - CRAs, why in the name of sanity do the chumps at Creation want so-called physical proof of his address? Idiots! Physical proof is a piece of cake to forge. They already have proof of his address, as furnished by the BB databases at the CRAs.

Just to update I have received a phone call from Creation, from the person who attempted to contact me last Friday.

He has now offered me the card with a credit on it to compensate for the way I have had my application handled.

I declined his offer of the card and the compensation that went with it.

If what OP said is true then why on earth did he turn the offer down of a card and compensation when he complained? Why bother complaining if you did not want the issue resolved? Bizarre approach... if it's true that is.
