@AndyPix yes you are missing something. The fact that when new tenants move in the house and order broadband, this will then cease the OPs line and services. Automatically generating the cancellation fee regardless.

You are in a contract - so just keep paying it !!??
TT wont care, or even notice most likely as long as you keep paying the monthly bill they will be fine.
They are still getting the money they are contracted to receive , even if you are not using the broadband.
If anything, it's GOOD for them - as they are getting paid and not having to provide a service.0
