Wage arrestment

I have just received a wage arrestment to my work (small company I open the mail) and it's from a credit union loan years ago, the address on the paperwork is an address I have not lived at for over 3 years therefore I have never received any paperwork, letters or even court papers, I am in Scotland is there anything I can do? More than happy to pay it but not at £335 per month!

Hi
Providing you haven’t previously had a failed time to pay direction, you can apply to the sheriff court for a time to pay order (TTPO). It’s where the sheriff can grant an affordable payment plan and stop diligence such as your arrestment. You would apply using a DSA2 form.
There is some more information on the following factsheets:

Nothing you can do. The court will have decided all this in your absence, because you didn't keep your address up to date with the lender.
If you "lose" the letter, the court will have a copy hand delivered by a bailiff, if work still don't respond, they will start to fine/etc your work.
Your work will have to provide your current address when they fill in the form, which other lenders will then use to link to you and chase you if you have other unpaid debts at your old address.
Your only hope to avoid that last bit is to pay it in full and get the credit union to call the court off before the form is returned.
They could well have found where you are working via linkedin, or other social media.0
