Probably to keep people logged in so it makes the site look busy.
Some people only exist as examples of what to avoid....0 -
Once you close the browser window, you show as logged out anyway, so I never look for any button.0

Yes, but why make it so difficult to access? Especially when you have a bold login button on the right initially. Money Saving Expert sort this out, it is very irritating.
I think they must have updated the site (the new blue skin version) since this thread was first started in December 2016.
Now there is a big red LOGOUT button at the top of every page :cool:0 -

I think they must have updated the site since the last post. I can 't see any logout button.
I've probably been logged in for several years.
Can someone please advise. Maybe I should be looking for an option that says "updated site"?0 -

The logout button is still in the same place.
The site update is not due until the end of this week, so everyone will be logged out in about 48hours time anyway0 -

Thanks for your response. I think many of the previous posters said exactly the same thing :-)
So I carefully reread all the posts in the off chance that someone actually specified the location of "the same place" - as in "Straight on. You can't miss it." :-)
@BargainGalore was the only person who mentioned "avatar" - so thanks for that. It's always good to have at least one techie on any forum :-)
I had already clicked the avatar before posting.
But the problem is that I have bad eyesight, so my Chrome is slightly magnified. As a result, the lowest entry in my avatar is "Recently Viewed". (I had to reduce magnification to see it.) It fitted exactly to the foot of the task bar. If any entry had been only partially visible, the truncation would have been immediately obvious. Of course, there are three more entries under "Recently Viewed".
I'm sure that dropdown menus on other sites automatically reposition themselves upwards or downwards or sideways, so the full menu is always visible. Maybe the new site design will have modern technology :-)
Thanks.0
