    Thanks Both :)

Funnily enough, I was on Sertraline until recently, came off them because I wanted to learn to cope by myself. Don't know what I was thinking :rotfl:

I think December is just a rough month for me because it affects my son so badly, and I hate that I can't fix things for him. Christmas should be magical for kids, and its just a big ball of stress for my son, ASD sucks :(

On a brighter note, I managed to get all my kids Christmas pressies wrapped today :) and tomorrow when the boys are in school I'm going to take my daughter to see Santa for the first time :)

I'm not going to bother with advents again, but thought I'd try doing some end date comping instead, something I can just dip in and out of without stressing. You never know, I may have more luck thee with everyone else doing Advents :)

My eldest son had ADHD long ago when he was in school is that the same thing?

Jan - Nov we look after our homes, family, dogs, some work and comp when we can.

So for what crazy reason do folks think they can do all of that plus arrange Christmas and do an extra 500+ comps a day in December?

You can't it is impossible something has to give (or you will be so exhausted by the time Christmas comes that you won't enjoy it)

I think the best bet for December to do all Advents or all "normal" comps, I have done Twitter, Twitter and Twitter :D

I took a few days leave at the beginning of December to do Christmas shopping, but even taking that into account, it freed up around an extra few hours a day to comp.

I normally comp by newly posted, but whilst I have been doing the advents, I have bookmarked any comps ending after 25th December and will do those later.

I have been very careful about entering too many on twitter for fear of being shadowbanned.

I am therefore not stressed by it at all. If I got stressed I would give up.

The collected Mini Bot 2 from uni with loads of dirty washing.

    .

I had to collect DS from uni too. He too had piles of washing. Funny isn't it? They manage to do it when they need to, but once they know they are coming home, they decide to save it all up. :rotfl:

Sort of. Basically he has autism, and as part of that he also has SPD (sensory processing disorder) and we've been told "probably" ADD (ADHD without the hyperactivity). He has extreme social anxiety and needs everything highly routined in order to feel safe. And Christmas of course means concerts, parties, carol services, panto etc in school, so his routine is massively changed, and he's just overloaded by it all. All the things that are fun and exciting for most kids, are just sensory over load for him and he hates it all :(

He's spend the weekend in inside out pjs at home, recovering from last weeks school. Just got him calm again, and he's gone back to school. But they break up Friday, so I get my "real" son back for 2 weeks :j I can't wait. He's like a different child when there's no school.

Never really stopped and thought about it before, but I completely agree with you :) I used to try and get all the Christmas stuff organised in November so I could concentrate on Advents in December, but then I realised how much comping was taking over my life, and what was supposed to be a fun hobby was adding to my stress levels :(

So, I've officially given up on advents for this year, and I am end date comping instead, at least until I catch up with the board.

Although, I've been trying for 10 years to get up to date with the board and never managed it yet :rotfl:

I have just had a message from Taste Inc to say I have won one of their Advent Competitions.

    I think I have won a Bluetooth Speaker :o

It would be great if that's what it is as we were talking about getting one for the caravan :T

My only win of the month unless you count the 30p from "The Bird"

Woohoo! Just updated and I have two left - had an awesome win which arrived today (I'll do a separate post in IWIWIW and explain all later) which took me over the £2017 - had another win from Mecca but it doesn't state what it is so will update when I know. The last two are hard - Q & Z :o

    Well done everyone!

    Finally, I have news:j

Our 5th, and probably last, granddaughter was born last night, 12 days late, having caused problems before she was even here. Her mom had to be transferred to another hospital, but they are both doing well now:j:j We should be visiting tonight with GD4, who will be staying with us for the next few days, so bye-bye sleep.:rotfl:

Anyway back on thread, I've won a bundle of Smiggle goodies, so GDs 1 2 and 3 will be happy.
