I once found two black M&S canvas bags in a trolley(in the trolley rack). Took them to customer service and said someone has left them and might come back for them. CS was not interested and wouldn't take them off me. :p

Earlier this year, my bags of bags was pinched. Found them in an abandoned trolley a few aisles down. So I got them back. Noted the attempted thief had fillet steak and a large bottle of scotch - £35 in the trolley. Spotted the thief later and told him if he can afford to buy scotch and fillet steak, he can afford his own bags!

The bags were just ordinary blue Tesco bags; no great loss to replace, but to think that someone was willing to be seen swiping something so trivial....

Our Tesco doesn't use coin trolleys, but have immobilisers which are supposed to stop the trolley if you leave the car park area. (Don't think this works, as last week I saw one dumped on some spare land).

I'm sorry I can't hear the phrase 'bag for life' without thinking of a dead Great Dane.............
  • Have you reported this theft to the police??
