Another Fantastic Seller

I purchased a childs jacket from ebay which was advertised as age 12-18 months as a present for a friends child.. When it arrived it was an age 1.5 - 2, so too big.

I sent a message to the seller, and received no reply, so i opened a return request, with an explanation and a photo of the label stating the age.

This was also ignored, so I escalated it last night and was told to return the jacket for a refund. I printed the returns label to send it back tomorrow and left negative feedback with the comment "sent wrong size then ignored messages".(this is only the second time I have left negative FB in 13 years)

Just got the message from the seller.....

"Do you know how much for that coat still I gave you for 12.00 plus deliver please send it back the way I send it or less I will let eBay know? Not going to sell you again will block you are buying from me"

:rotfl::rotfl:

I was tempted to send a witty reply, but stopped myself.

    The child would have grown into that in no time.

    Which is hardly the point. If OP had wanted a coat for a child to grow into then they would have bought one.

    By which time it would likely be the wrong season.

    Exactly. A winter coat won't be much use in the summer, will it? And by the following winter it will be too small!

    In the OP, you said a jacket, not a winter coat. Two totally different things. The seller may not have been very good but I think your actions speak volumes as a buyer.

    Again how does that make a difference? A baby jacket suitable for the colder weather now in December is hardly going to have the same wear in May or June of next year.

    Buyers buy what they want sellers can't just send something else instead and not expect to have to rectify it. I'm sure many of us have sent the wrong items, I certainly have , but it is how a seller deals with the mistake that sorts out a bad seller from a good seller.

    Absolutely.

    I find that when problems are resolved buyers seem eternally grateful, even though it is the least they should expect, and frequently go on to become regular customers.

    The OP's seller has done them a favour by blocking them. The OP won't mistakenly buy from them again.

    Did the OP actually try the whatever they want to call it on the child in question? I doubt it. Just threw a hissy fit.

    No. No I didn't. It's actually a gift for a friends child and they live in Brasil, so that would have been a bit hard.
