Oh no, didn't see that Zika had made it there. OP, definitely not Cape Verde then!leylandsunaddict wrote: »It's more like 1.5/2 hrs, plus there's a risk of Zika.
For info though for those who are prepared to face Zika for a reduced priced trip, it really is only one hour more flight longer than to Gran Canaria.0 -
As an aside, my wife flew a couple of times when pregnant and airlines will normally need to see a doctor's letter to confirm that they are OK to fly- so make sure you get that arranged (some surgeries will charge for this service)0

We had heard the same, but actually my girlfriend flew to San Francisco, Dublin and Dubrovnik while very obviously pregnant and was never once asked to show any letter or documentation. Obviously play it safe, but I think the doctor's note thing is a bit of a red herring, at least with scheduled airlines.

Best be prepared... my sister, when pregnant, was stopped from boarding an Easyjet flight when returning from a holiday in Europe. Fortunately she had a bit of spare time remaining; fortunately there was a doctor on duty at the airport; fortunately the doctor decided to use common-sense rather than follow the rules and just had time to write out the required piece of paper before the flight closed.0 -

Well we flew with Ryanair both times and 1st time they looked at the letter and was fine- 2nd time the person at the check in desk took it away and photocopied it for their records (though my wife was much more heavily pregnant on that flight)
Probably worth checking the T's & C's of the individual airline as and when the OP books0 -
You can't guarantee sunshine anywhere in Europe in February.
Canaries and Madeira are about the warmest you'll get.
We went to Dubai inFebruary and that was very pleasant.
I flew to and from South Africa at 32 weeks pregnant and coped fine - it's lovely down there in February around Cape Town and the Garden Route.0
