Feb 2017 - Pregnant Wife

Hello everyone.
So exciting news, my girlfriend and I are expecting our first child.
We want to have a holiday next February (before life changes forever!) somewhere hot but now with her being pregnant we are slightly limited on where we can go due to the Zika virus, the fact that seriously long haul flights are probably out the question and also that most cruise lines don't let you sail after 20 weeks.
We were therefore thinking somewhere in Europe but not too sure where would be warmest or would have the best weather in Feb.
All suggestions gratefully received!

Congratulations.
Canary Islands maybe.
Btw Monarch fly to Ovda for Eilat in Israel, not sure if that flight would be too long.
Agadir.
Paphos Cyprus.
Where in the UK are you?Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
I'm not sure what you regard as "seriously long haul" but I suggest you take medical advice before ruling anything in or out. And of course it makes a big difference what stage of the pregnancy she is in at the time of flying.
FWIW my wife and I toured Thailand and the Philippines when she was about five months gone. Medical advice is critical: for instance, pregnant women should generally not take anti-malarial pills, so you need to be very sure that she would not come into contact with the malarial parasite (a pregnant woman with malaria is an immediate medical emergency).0 -
You will be limited in Europe. Canaries or Madeira will be warm.
I'd consider UAE, Qatar, Oman. All about a 6 hour flight and weather is perfect. Mid 20s degrees.0 -
Yes we were looking at Madeira or Canaries, ideally with stuff for me to do, scuba is ideal. Thanks for the input everyone.0

Following as I was going to ask the same, we want to go away in March when I will be 6 months. We have had to rule out pretty much the whole of the Caribbean, central America and SE Asia due to zika. Cape Verde also has it. We have been to 50 countries between us so would like somewhere new, just to be picky!
As we don't know how I will feel, we want somewhere where we can either be active or lazy!
Considering Jordan. Red Sea resort or Oman at the moment., diving not allowed for me but somewhere with snorkeling would be good0 -
Don't expect summer 'hot' weather in the Canaries and Madeira in February. If you want to Scuba consider Eilat.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0

By March, the south of Europe will be warm enough to enjoy. You might consider exploring a new region such as Puglia in southern Italy, or parts of Sicily or Cyprus.Following as I was going to ask the same, we want to go away in March when I will be 6 months. Of course if snorkelling is your main priority then the Red Sea is a better option, although you could consider going that little bit further and head for the Seychelles.0 -
You could fly only one hour longer than the canary islands to Cape Verde. 22 degrees average rising to 25 degrees. It will be a bit more expensive though.0
