Can I vent my little advent gripe whilst I take a moment out from them? .. ones that end at a certain time in the day but it doesn't say so on the thread title so I've missed the cut off time .. :( & when 'today's competition' link has been put up but the poster failed to mention what the prize is, so I have to open the link only to see that it's not something I'd enter for .. :(

    Okay back to it :rotfl:
Thanks to all who post comps! :A

    2016 sucks

Brexit means Brexit - is this just a way of saying we have no idea what we are doing but we are going to do it?

Trump is elected president of the "free world" so it's ok to diss everybody who isn't white, straight and got a bad hair job?

Everybody from my childhood dies or is part of an investigation into allegations of sexual abuse.

And the advents are full of naff prizes for max effort.

2017 you better look to do better or me and the newt are moving to mars.

I love the advents & always use MSE. But it's like wading through treacle this year with the links not opening in a new page, I'm not computer savvy at the best of times, but this is really slowing me down...... anyone else frustrated by this?

I am having the same problem pages not opening in new link when you click on them. Has anyone got a solution?

Right click the link or drag it to a new tab.

Last year i won a towel rail worth £30, One year later i finally got around to putting it up (yesterday). It was on my list to win last year but i wanted to get the shower fitted first and that took ages lol. See forward thinking!!! You know you need a oven glove or fish slice lol.

When people post the comps, it's usually well in advance so they don't always know that a comp will end at 5pm (or whatever) ... or keep checking their own posts to see if there's an update on something like that ... ... you can't expect the poster to do everything for you ... If you do see something that closes daily at 5PM (for example) then just send a PM to the poster and ask them to update the post title :)

I do agree about the prize though, if someone's posting a "Day 2 Open" post, it would be better for everyone if they stated what the prize was.
