M&S just had their Mrs Claus Facebook competition when they were giving 500 prizes away every day for two days - I was not even lucky there!

Was there a post on here for this? I missed it totally!

I've been entering loads every day and not won a thing.

Can only hope that some of those that will be chosen in the first few days of January, proves lucky for some.
  • I've had about 100 Advent threads bookmarked and checked them all and entered most of them every day and not won a thing.

Two years ago was my first year comping for a long time and I won no Advents.
Last year I pretty much avoided them and stuck to the regular comps.
This year, I've been really methodical and entered loads of Advents plus kept up with end-dating and still got nowhere, other than a couple of small wins on the normal comps. I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong!
  • I'm not sure how many advents I entered last year, but I won 1 prize and that was an instant win on Christmas Day! This year, I've done over 12,000 advent entries since 1st December and not won anything (yet, there's still time, positive thinking......) :)

I think the reason is too many people are entering competitions now. Now 10 times harder to win than I'd say 2-4 years ago.
I also think there are less prizes.

The total value of reasonable prizes is certainly lower - Just the lack of the Curry's wish list does that, then there are the regular daily instants that switch to/run an advent who have reduced their prize values and/or the number of prizes, then on FB gone are decent comps from Capital, M&S, Brothers cider, Stella and Magners to name just a few.

I think this was the last "wish list" they ran - 56 daily winners getting their wish list which depending on the items selected could be worth over £1,500 for each list.

I am 100% with you! Look for example M&S pulled out Pass the parcel game where you could win some good prize. Instead they had Mrs Claus 500 small prizes a day for two days, small prizes like mince pies... They certainly lowered the value of their prizes.
That is the exact reason why people are not winning as thousands are now fighting over few small prizes.

Advents are now rubbish compare to what they were a good few years ago!!
