Once I've done with this box of powder I'm going to switch back to liquid.0

As we all know, wash powder is cheaper than the liquid/tabs so I thought that I would save money by switching to the wash powder. Seemed like common sense.
However, I discovered a problem. My skin is sensitive to the wash powder. This is bog standard "Surf" brand. Non-bio.
I have discovered that to prevent the skin irritation, I have to set my machine on "Skin Care" cycle with "Medic Rinse". With the regular Cotton cycle it would usually take almost 50mins to do the wash, but with "Skin Care" it goes up to 1hr 40mins. Medic Rinse adds another 10mins.
The liquid/tabs I don't get skin irritation.
This means I don't know which is cheaper.
Cheaper wash powder with more expensive wash cycle
or
More expensive liquid/tabs with cheaper wash cycle.
Does anyone have any suggestions? Or even questions?
I always use own brand non bio liquid for baby and for us. I can't really comment on the sensitive skin part but baby has been fine since she was born and we started using the non bio liquid.
I only use liquid though because powder gets stuck in the drawer after time and is difficult to remove.
My best advice is to buy the biggest NON BIO liquid there is, if you buy in bulk it last longer and you save money on the long haul xx0 -
Yeah I noticed the prices. I always by the biggest ones that have the most washes. Unless there are smaller ones on offer that total more washes than the bigger bottles. Whether it's soap or conditioner. However, I don't buy stores own brands. For me they're not that good.0

Have you tried Simply washing tabs - they're great for people with Eczema and sensitive skin:

Many supermarkets stock them.If my post hasn't helped you, then don't click the 'Thanks' button!0 -
Nope. Never tried Simply wash tabs. I don't think I'll need to. I don't have a problem with other washing liquid/tabs. If they're cheaper than other brands (not including supermarket brand) then I'd buy them though.0
