Liquid wash or powder for sensitivity?

I can't use a bio washing powder/liquid and I've taken to using Fairy gel.

I'm the same. I've never been any good with Bio washed, powder or liquid.

Soapnuts? £10 a kilo, 330 washes, totally natural.
If the clothes aren't really dirty, they should do fine.

On a slightly different note, our 'appliance fixer' suggested that we use powder rather than liquid as there was less 'build up' in the drum.

That was his experience in years of fixing 'gummed up' washing machines!

I suspect your problem is with using cheap powders, such as Surf. I also used to find that Surf gave me problems, but switching to any other (ie: Ariel) meant the problem went away - another benefit to using good soap powder is that you need to use less to get your clothes clean.

This is a first. I've never heard of washing clothes with nuts.

True, but you do end up needing to scrub the drawer.
