who is my contract with?

If I buy something via Groupon, is my contract with Groupon or the company supplying the product I buy?

If the product is not as described, who do I sue if I need to?

Sue, sounds like Groupon is not for you.

Surely if is not a described you would request a return and refund long before even thinking of suing?

    Thanks for the response.

However given how few details I provided, why hypothesise about what has/hasn't happened so far, rather than answer the specific question?

It was deliberately a very specific question.

How did you pay? You may have recourse that way.

    Read the Groupon T&Cs.:)
  • What was the item and how was it not as described?

Thanks antrobus. I'd looked (but failed to find) the T&Cs hence the question - however have just looked again and found the (tiny!) link this time.

    Question answered!

What are all of the legal relationships: Whatever Item you purchase via the Site will be subject to the terms and conditions of that Seller. Since Groupon International is not usually a Seller, this means that your contract of sale will most likely be with a different legal entity (often a company in the Groupon Group). But please note that any contracts formed at the completion of a sale for Items are solely between you and the Seller (and not Groupon International, unless Groupon International is the seller). The Seller is responsible for the sale and for dealing with any claims or any other issue arising out of or in connection with the contract between you and the Seller.

How many others have complained about it being not as described? Yes it's important to your claim because if your the only one you stand little chance of winning a claim.

When something goes wrong on Groupon, it well documented some where.
