Yes, but I think the 73 Alfa beats that.0 -
There's an immaculate D reg Austin Maestro round by me. God only knows how he stopped it from rusting away
.
I also quite often see an original shape Rover 400 (R8).
Suppose I only notice them as they were the cars I worked on when I first started work.0 -

I remember driving the Rover diesel, the skin remained on the rice pudding. But by the end of the maestro run it was ok.0 -
The one old model I did notice quite a bit is a VW Polo from late 80's to early 90's. I still see quite a few of these around. E/F Reg's.
If you see an old Ford it's almost always a RS model. If you spot a Sierra nowdays it will be a RS Cosworth.0 -

Still plenty of non RS ones knocking about.0 -
There's a 1983 Mini three doors down, great condition and gets used at the weekend. Until 2014 our old neighbour used to drive a pre WW2 Buick and Austin 7 around, with a comparatively recent 1978 Austin Maxi as his daily. Lovely old retired military guy, just liked cars and messing about with them. Saw the Maxi a month or so ago.
On the morning commute I regularly go past a 90's Clio, a couple of Saxos and a guy driving what must be one of the last Lada Niva's still going.0 -
I quite often see a white Ford Consul MKII, or it could be a Zephyr MKII on the way to work, and there is a 100E running around in grey primer I see occasionally on the way home.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

This is a good site to see what cars still exist. Plenty of models where every one has been scrapped.
More than twice as many Bugatti's on the road than Lada Rivas.0 -

Its funny, how you get to know your fellow commuter cars. There's this blue S reg Micra, and a 57 plate Mondeo ... I swear I see them everyday in traffic.
Then there's the impatient guy in a big black 10 year old Volvo turbo brick I encounter on most home journeys.0
