I'm very pleased to hear you're all having a happier time of it.:D

MY DD goes to bed at 8pm, has done since she was a toddler, so 6:15 strikes me as early. Do they sleep when they go at that time? It couldn't be an excess energy thing going on with them, could it? If they wake by themselves at a reasonable time then they are getting enough sleep,it's just something that crossed my mind for you.

p.s. After the first 10 stickers and toy (do the same for your DD- it's only fair) downgrade it to 'you get a treat' after 10 stickers.
Otherwise it wont be very MSE.:p

Wishing you a mantlepiece full of stickers.:D

  • Thanks for the supportive messages. Yes, I think it is the same with my son, he already knows his alphabet and numbers, he listens but will not participate because when he does decide (maybe a couple of lessons later) that he does want to join in he knows what to do. I think the teachers do know a way of dealing with him.

Well, although they go up at 6.15 they do have a bath and then we have around half an hour of calm down so it is more like 7.15. They have had this routine for the last 3 years so any change they get confused by it all, if they don;t have a bath before bed for example, but my friends children do go the same time as well. Yes, they do tend to go to sleep at this time, they occassionaly play up but this is more f they have had sweets and whatever.

About the stickers thing, yes, we have the same going with trying to get my daughter to school at the moment. I am having to do the treat to just get through the day. it doesn't cost much for the £1 car he is going to want!!

  • LOL, trust me ANYTHING is worth it not to have to face another mum or dad and be told that my son has bitten or hit their child in front of them. I spent the time looking at my shoes, it felt like I had done it. So embarrassing. He can be a lovely boy - when he is sleeping, LOL.
