Sky phone & internet problems

Hi , just letting everyone know how bad sky are . We've had no phone or internet since last thursday (24/11/16) , I've tweeted them daily off my phone to receive meaningless updates , endless pointless apologies only for them to now give me another date for a further update not repair just update . It's utterly frustrating as i really need the phone for personal reasons right now .

Changed to Sky Broadband and landline 18 months ago, no problems at all.

Now if you were to complain about Sky TV I would happily agree with you.

I found them excellent, but left due to a lack of retention deal. My present service is awful and I can't wait to move back, even if it is more expensive at Sky.

My only problem with Sky TV was the exorbitant price increases and certainly agree that the product was far superior to my present service. I had been with Sky for over 24 years but paying over £900 per annum to watch TV was just too much money even though I had to buy my two Humax HDR boxes for the new service provider, my choice as I still wanted to record.
  • I had the same problem with sky recently, only three weeks after moving from Talktalk. Many £££s spent phoning them without a return call, lots of time listening to them 'performing tests that did nothing, updates that didn't move things on, booking an engineer visit, cancelling it, booking it again and then sorted. Not impressed.

It seems they are not keen on calling out Openreach in the early stages.

Only time I had a problem with Talktalk they called them out next day and quickly sorted.
I don't like morning people. Or mornings. Or people.

I'm finding PlusNet the same, but dread an engineer callout as they could blame my side of 'thing's even if there is a problem elsewhere, as I have no ay of proving anything technical.

I can't believe that you've been an MSE forums member since 2008 and are paying high prices, without haggling every year.

Did you call to negotiate? They've just agreed £10/month for the next year with me for the 17m package
    Mortgage (Nov 15): £79,950 | Mortgage (May 19): £71,754 | Mortgage (Sep 22): £0
    Cashback sites: £900 | £30k in 2016: £30,300 (101%)
