TalkTalk Broadband Cancellation

I have set up TalkTalk broadband for my son in his flat. I expected him to be in his flat for some time and so didn't worry too much about the duration of the contract I was signing up to. But he has had to move out of his flat to new accommodation.
I contacted TalkTalk about moving the broadband to the new address. In doing this I asked what would happen if he was then out of this new accommodation in a couple of months (unfortunately due to the nature of his new accommodation he may not be in it for very long) - and his next accommodation already had broadband - and so no need to move it. I asked how much it would cost to cancel, say, end Feb 2017. They could not tell me. I then asked what it would cost to cancel the broadband NOW - and not have it moved to his new accommodation. They could not tell me.
How can it be that I cannot be told how much it will cost to get out of the contract in say three months time - not even a ballpark. And because I am worried it might cost me hundreds I might want to just cancel now. And they can't tell me that either,
Really? Surely when entering into any contract I should be able to know how much it will cost for me to get out of it. But not it seems with TalkTalk.

Just work it out as the outstanding months left on the contract are due as that is the norm .
If he moves the current TT package to a new property then that will start a new contract .0 -
TalkTalk charge per month remaining on the contract for early termination, i.e. phone - £3, simply broadband - £15.50p.

Depending on what the broadband connection is used for it could be cheaper overall for a temp connection to buy mobile data and use it as a wifi hotspot/tethering. Check with your mobile provider to see if it's allowed. When you sign-up for a TalkTalk service you agree to have that service for a minimum contract term. If you decide to cancel your service with us while still within your minimum term you may have to pay an early termination charge.
This charge varies depending on your TalkTalk service and the number of months you have left on your contract. The table below will show you how much the early termination charges are for each month remaining on your contract:0 -
thanks - for some reason we have ended up with a £22/month contract - when all we want is broadband, my son does not use a landline - I think I have been missold...P:(0

You require a land line to transmit the data over .He must use a land line if he receives TT broadband .
Or you use satellite or mobile data .0 -
