I tried a mooncup but it was a disaster. A very painful one. I bought the smallest, but it was just too big.
I'll look into the washable sanitary towels. I've never read much about them before. I'm starting to go off the idea of laundering these things though, whether pants or towels.
I tried the smallest size Mooncup too, and it was just too bigWhen I finally got it in, it was a struggle to get it back out again, and I had to squeeze it out and something ripped (I think my hymen, but I didn't think I still had one of those). I found the long stalk thing very difficult to use, and you're supposed to trim it off. But that would involve putting it in and out a few times, trimming in between to find the right length, which would be unnecessary pain. I don't see how the stalk thing is helpful in removing it anyway. I can't believe they say those things are ok for young girls who've just started their period. They would have as much luck trying to get the thing into their bellybutton.
I have now bought a different brand, FemmyCycle teen, which is smaller, and is a much better design (it has a small loop to aid removal, and the cup has a clever design to stop spillage when removing). I haven't tried it yet, but am hopeful that this will be better. I am going to buy lube this time to aid in learning to use it.
I currently use washable sanitary towels, and like them. They are more comfortable than disposable ones, and for some unknown reason, more blood comes out when you go to the toilet, rather than constantly seeping out onto the pads like when you use the disposable ones. The brand I have has a tie-dye coloured velour material. After using them, you put them into a bucket of cold saltwater, until you wash them. The blood diffuses out into the bucket. You rinse them a couple more times in the bucket before washing them, then wash as usual.0 -
Just to add to the continuing war on apparently incontinent 40 plus women, i was somewhat shocked to notice an ad on the tv the other evening for a product called "Vagisan" apparenty for women of a certain age (over 35??) who suffer from vaginal dryness !
One wonders what other affictions may be visited on these poor women.Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
