Leopards, sorry that made me giggle, damn autocorrect!

Yes, I can see they could have a use there, especially if you couldn't use tampons, but not for every day use.

Sorry auto correct nightmare.. I meant leotards, I do not agree with using any animal for gym or dance!!

Why not try a moon cup or washable sanitary cloths?

Seriously if getting a sweaty Betty happening, cotton is the way to go

Totally agree cloth pads are so much more comfortable than disposables! No more nappy rash type irrititation, never been one for internal protection as it does not suit my anatomy - so cups not something I want to try.

I tried a mooncup but it was a disaster. A very painful one. I bought the smallest, but it was just too big.

I'll look into the washable sanitary towels. I've never read much about them before. I'm starting to go off the idea of laundering these things though, whether pants or towels.

I too have noticed this insidious creep of feminine hygiene products. The most obvious are what i call !!!!y pants. If we are to believe what they say, every woman over forty is pishing themselves every time they laugh/cough/get up/sit down for too long.

However have women managed for so long without what are effectively nappies?
I think it is about time women protested loudly about this kind of thing.

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

You can get cotton biodegradable disposable sanitary towels.

I couldn't agree more, I detest those ads that normalise peeing yourself. Honestly, if you don't suffer from a medical condition but can't control your bladder at the age of those women in the ads you need to see a doctor, not buy blummin pee pads and laugh with your friends about it.
Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear
  • I wouldn't put all that synthetic fabric around my foof any time of the month!

    :rotfl: Ditto!

Sloggis are more than sufficient. I haven't tried the pants the OP mentions, but it sounds like a marketing ploy.

Can I just say how much I agree.

I cringe every time I see those ads , having serious enough bladder issues that they need thick nappy type pants means they havea health issue and should be seeing a doctor. The ads are a serious health risk, 40 year old women do not routinely go about seeing themselves, why pretend it is normal and perhaps prevent a woman getting the medical advice she really needs.

  • I thought that's what most people did, half a dozen pairs of largies in the drawer that will stand a hot wash, seems we're out of touch!

For around the house I used to use old pairs of my husband's underpants. The bulgy bit at the front was great for nighttime thickness pads. :rotfl:

Can I just start by saying I have had some proper :rotfl: reading some of the brilliant replies to this thread :D

I have watched some YT videos from a lady who has been trialling a lot of different reuseable period products, including Thinx. Her videos can be somewhat "graphic" (insomuch as she shows menstrual blood etc but no foofs :rotfl:) but I have found them both entertaining and informative. Her channel can be found here, she has a playlist called "period stuff"

    HTH!
