UKPS - Parking Charge Notice

Hi,

After having a brief look around for something similar...
UKPS parking charge notice.
Am I required by law to pay this fine ?

Any advice would be great.

Thanks.

read the NEWBIES sticky thread which is near the top of this forum

the law is unclear on this , its a complicated matter

if they try a court case, the judge may say you are liable and must pay it, or not

    It is not a fine.

You do not have to pay it unless a judge tells you to. Have you been to court and been told by a judge to pay it?

If not, please read the Sticky thread for NEWBIES then send the IPC template letter you will find here.

Did you get a windscreen ticket or a NTK through the post? This will determine when you send the template.

...are you required by law to pay that bunch?

    No...!

    Is it UKPS Ltd:

    http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/UKPS.html

    or this lot:

    http://www.bmpa.eu/companydata/UKPS_North_West.html

Either way, no. It's not a fine. It's an invoice, follow the advice in the NEWBIES thread and on the BMPA pages there.

Read it again when less stressed. You need to know if it's a BPA or IPC member.

You haven't said which UKPS it is.

I have already told you which template to use. Clue, it does not mention BPA or PoPLA.
