Tried to set up Tesco for DD's-small grumble

Saver,
All sorts of funny things can happen with Tesco DD's. I cannot get one set up from my Internet Saver account to any of my Bank of Scotland accounts - they fail to collect and I get a generic letter.
I wrote to them a month ago - just waiting to see what explanation they give.
In the meantime I've set up DD's with Paypal, and just manually requesting £1 each month.0 -

Who knows how I am going to manage when I get confident enough to try and cycle money through a couple of different accounts .
It is likely to be your mistake - although the system isn't foolproof. For example, at the moment I have a DD payment credited to one of my Tesco saver accounts two weeks ago which has not yet appeared as a debit on the (non-Tesco) account "pulled".
As for managing, some try to automate the process (e.g. Katiehound), but I do it all in realtime via the faster payments system. Once done once, it takes me just about one hour each month to perform both the 42 FPS repeat transactions that service the 34 accounts which make up our collection of money-making accounts, and the dozen or so internal consolidations and transfers, e.g. extracting blue rewards credits.0 -

these are mine own, I confess!
I haven't any problems at all with the tesco saver DDs. To start with when I needed 2 xDDs here and 2xDDs there I had enough with utilities, CC etc however as banks changed their T&Cs I started to run out! Now most a/cs have one 'real' DD (small utility or charity) plus one saver DD.
When I set the DD up it has always shown (for me) what the earliest date is.... and worked like clockwork.
I also use the saver to pay my regular saver a/cs because you can set up dated payments for well into the futureBeing polite and pleasant doesn't cost anything!

Between the two accounts,I have no card or pin yet.
Might have to chase that up.
I didn't have to sign for this account but I have for others I hold with them and I've found them to be a touch slow.
I've no intention to use the card but appears you can use in any link cash machine and has apples on it0
