Ukpc

Very new to this forum thing and have read a few of the parking posts,
Forgive me if I'm a noddy but have just received an email parking charge.
It's from UKPC
Addressed to "The Ticket Holder' via my email
States date of offence 30/10/16
Doesn't say where or what I'm supposed to have done
Says photo's not available.
I've never received any tickets or warnings for parking so have no idea what it's about.
Is it safe to ignore?
Many thanks.

    This isn't a UKPC charge and really should go on the Techie board as its a email/phishing/malware scam - several threads i the last week - IGNORE!

    How do you think UKPC would attach an email address to a VRN if you had not given it to them?
  • pgofish and redx thanks for info.
    fisherjim what's a VRN?
    They didn't state my name, car reg or anything. They only had my email address which I'm guessing they could get from anywhere.

    VRN = Vehicle Registration Number

    VRM = Vehicle Registration Mark

    ie: - the reg number

    Indeed, and 'they' are not UKPC.

    I don't think anyone feels remotely sorry for UKPC in dealing with this scam though which must be a huge waste of their time. Sometimes what goes around, comes around and it's ironic that UKPC are having to distance themselves from this rip-off.
    PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

    You are not being a noddy. You came and asked questions and didn't get scammed.

    If you or anyone you know ever get a private parking ticket, come back for more help on a new thread. In fact, tell everyone you know to read the NEWBIES thread so they know what to do and what not to do before they get a ticket.
