I am working for the charity AOHL (formerly RNID) I need to find for a client a very basic smart phone which sounds like an oxymoron but as the client is elderly the phone needs to be as simple and cheap as possible and yet be able to download an app for a text service called NGTS. I would appreciate some help for this so ideas are welcomed.

What platform does the app run on: Android, iOS, or both?
Edit: if it's NGT Lite, it requires Android 4.1 or later, or iOS6 or 7 (not 8)No free lunch, and no free laptop

As long as the app is an Android one then get a Doro smartphone. They're nice and simple, my Mum has one I bought for her.0
