Anyone got Virgin Media TV??

I cant find a TV forum so here will have to do. I've heard some bad things about their internet but has anyone had any issues with their TV packages? Trying to decide whether to go with them or not..

  • Hi, I have virgin phone, tv and broadband. Cant say I have had any probs with the package except the on demand service is not always working.
  • Same here I have tv, comp and phone. All ways been fine no problems.

Have the xl package £40 ish per month sky sports, sentanda (or whatever it is called) and loads of other channels that I don't watch.
  • I've found that overall they're not too bad. If your a heavy downloader then you'll get hit by a speed restriction between 4pm and 12am. V+ box can be great, but sometimes doesn't record the whole of a programme and the remote is unresponsive. Phone service is ok unless there's a fault - they are slow to come out and fix the issue. But as I only pay £17 for a V+ box, an extra box, phone line and 20meg broadband I'm not complaining!:p
  • fryster2006 I have to ask how on earth you manage £17 for all that. Im on phone, no prem channels, V+, extra box , 1meg broadband and talk plan at £73 a month

Totally agree. Price wise best to bundle services together. Their broadband has been trouble free for me.

Have you ever thought about the VIP offer , a far better deal than you have at the minute for only £12 more . VM dont have a 1meg service anymore BTW , you will be on 2meg .

I have got phone, tv and broadband from Virgin. Can't say I have problems with any of the services.
  • Hello all. I've read these forums for years but this is my first post. I have recently moved back to the UK and am moving into a rented house next week. I am looking to get phone, broadband and TV with Virgin Media. I am by no means either a heavy downloader nor do I watch a lot of TV so the £20 deal of 2mb unlimited internet, 35 TV channels and free evening and weekend calls looks great to me. I will also add the optional £1.50/month for international calls.

I have a few questions before I go and order. I have checked the Virgin website and it tells me that I live in an area with cable. Is this a good thing? Should I choose this? Also, is there 2mb internet fast enough for a relatively light user like me? I would hate page downloads to be laggy. Also, does it come with a wireless or wired router? I can't seem to find this information.

    THanks for any help!
